Thread: Lcd Brightness at login screen

i have ubuntu 8.10 frugal install in fat32 hdd
laptop acer aspire 4720z
have created new user(say user1) in , brightness set minimum
when ever boot or logoff lcd brightness becomes maximum
returns minimum when login account(user1)
how can reduce brightness @ login screen ?

this problem solved in karmic.
