Thread: ioctl(SIOCSIFFLAGS) failed: Unknown error 132: Aircrack

i trying test wireless ap aircrack-ng, , using beta version of karmic koala. have dell laptot 1390 wireless network card , use b43 driver. according aircrack-ng website, not need apply patches driver, extract firmware. whenever try run aircrack related commands terminal (such "sudo airomon-ng start wlan0") error message ioctl(siocsifflags) failed: unknown error 132. think related incorrect firmware extracted lib/firmware directory. have no idea how solve this, though, appreciated. lot.

same problem here. upgraded jaunty (2.6.28-15 kernel) , airmon-ng gives me following error:
code:
$ sudo airmon-ng start wlan0 interface	chipset		driver wlan0		broadcom	b43 - [phy0]siocsifflags: unknown error 132 				(monitor mode enabled on mon0)
i removed b43-fwcutter (purge) , reinstalled it, rebooted, still same message. wireless works normal though.
using broadcom 4318 on acer aspire 5003.

seems made stupid mistake... on old kernel didn't matter if had wireless switch turned off. airmon-ng start normally, kismet (or other progs) not receive packets. turn on. gives "unknown error 132".
after turning wlan switch on functions , airmon-ng / kismet start before.
