No content edit windows - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i've done bit of searching haven't found solution problem:

when go edit old content or input new content, both backened , frontend, various usernames, various wysiwygs (jce/tiny mice) nothing @ appears content edit windows ought be.

still ability name something, , tabs on right still there, no edit windows, no edit icons, justa  blank white box.

any hints?

is javascript enabled in browser?
what browser use?
could test browser (e.g. firefox)?

how access back-end of site?
with http://www.yoursite.com/administrator or http://yoursite.com/administrator
and how $mosconfig_live_site configured in configuration.php ? or without www. ?
