Design view of CSS layout is innacurate
hello -
i'm beginning redraft company's hompage using full css layout instead of our current nested table layout. since need ensure other staff members can edit pages freely - , i'm person comfortable doing straight code - it's important design view accurate possible.
when editing in dreamweaver 8, 3 column layout (a left table of contents, center content column, , additional content right column) breaks table of contents dissapears. people have spoken have suggested problem might negative margins i'm using position floated columns form meat of page.
you can view page here:
http://www.southernenvironment.org/test/home_redraft.html
the css here:
http://www.southernenvironment.org/test/style_redraft.css
in addition, header navbar appears strangely. in design view, 2 word titles (ie. "our programs") break on 2 separate lines, instead of staying in 1 line in browsers i've tested.
the frustrating thing design seems work in browsers - without accurate representation in dreamweaver, won't able sell idea of standards-based revamp other staff here.
any ideas?

dw8 emulates ie's rendering, , page broken in ie , in dw.
i'm not clear on why using such huge negative margin these
columns?
