Thread: Power state unavailable after suspend or hibernate.

i installed ubuntu 3 weeks ago on hp dv3t laptop. working beginning, 1 problem i've been having after suspend (standby) or hibernate, power manager no longer displays power state. battery info icon grayed out, , cannot obtain battery information. have restart in order icon , manager reset. need power icon , manager still function after suspend or hybernate. ideas of why might , possible fix? thanks.
