hello, sorry, new pi , on, on trail of method replace old asus oplay not hang large drives attached etc.

saw on british forum option pi2 running openelec. have learn @ picking simple electronics , see installation rather easy little memory card.

question know:
1.will setup play usual audio , video formats through tv , stereo have asus oplay hooked up? is, can use pi2 , openelec play flac, mp3, mp4, ogg, matroska, avi, formats .....
2. can create pi2 , openelec setup accepts usb inputs hard drive enclosures oplay.

taking time answer beginner.
