Adding positions to the template I like - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello.

the default template comes joomla v1.0.11, rhuk_solarflare_ii, http://www.rockettheme.com, has left, right, top, banner , 4 user positions. enough web designs.

i chose, yet, rt_showcar, template http://www.rockettheme.com, comes no banner , 3 user positions.

what have copy rhuk_solarflare_ii rt_showcar in other missing banner position , 4th user position? have dig html file or css file?

many hint.

i'm not sure, think have edit index.php file add positions want.

i remember wanted stuff , added index.php, trying this, trying that, till satisfied.

first, make copy of original index.php file , keep on safe place.
if things worse, can restore original one  ;)
